As I sit here pondering on the past year, I realize how much I've grown...yet...have stayed the same. My hopes are to take what I witness right now and move forward.
I've spent many lindens here in Second Life. Mostly to grow The Happy Hat. Some lindens were for Hunt objects. Other lindens were random wants. The latter will cease this next year. No more buying for wants...or whims...
I just went out yesterday and purchases hair I don't need...You can imagine what the hair is doing to the inventory! No more hair! Well...Maybe a few more Mesh Styles ;-D
...and the shoes! Oh my gosh. I make my own shoes now! These I will definitely stop purchasing these random things. Well...Maybe one of two buys down the road...
How about this random purchase...A Clydesdale horse to create. Have I used it? Hell no! What was I thinking?! I actually was thinking of a scene with unicorns to build for my Winter Scene. Found what I wanted after that purchase...and had to purchase more! Maybe I'll really step back and think these buys through before hitting "purchase".
I guess I'll do better buying this next year. My hopes are to hit the green instead of staying in the red. By not purchasing as much, maybe I'l do that. Creating more items for The Happy Hat with what I have instead if getting more; and adding these items to The Marketplace will help as well...
I think this is doable.
I do have a few followers of The Happy Hat and am so grateful for them. They keep me going...and growing. Without them, I'd be pretty much linden-less...
Of course, I have my favorite designers and builders. If I were to stop purchasing all together, I would hurt these people. So, I am going to limit myself to a set linden amount for purchases a month. This way, I can gather from those I adore and still keep the virtual economy going.
To all of those reading...Have a Blessed New Year to come. Know you are Loved by the One who holds us dear. Be Free...and Be Safe.
