You have probably heard of the loss of Marley McTavish, our Beloved Scottish Terrier. I have tried not to dwell on this loss; however, think of Marley every day. I even sleep with his blanket.
We brought a new guy into our world. His name is Kota. Kota was a twice surrender canine at the Humane Society, and he was there for Five Months his last stay before we rescued him. He has a lot of work ahead of him in order to become Rod's New Medical Assistant (as Marley was).
Kota has some Trust issues and is afraid of everything! He has Nipped our best Friend, who no longer comes over...and my son! We are working on his socialization skills. It is just going to take some time.
His next downfall is the fear to "Load"; to get in the car. This one is a necessity as Rod goes to doctors and stores. We have tried our treats and provide awards for even a sniff of the car. If you have any suggestions, please feel free to post.
Best progress so far is his first steps into the bathroom. This was a fear factor before, and is still there. BUTT (hehehehe) we have made progress!
