New Year's Eve

So here it is, the end of 2017. Where in the world did this year go? It seems my life was in a frenzy of events this past twelve months. Not much I did for myself...

OK. That was not true. Everything I do is for myself. I know that my later years will be spent alone; so, I try and make a little nest egg to pull from. It has been difficult. There is something started...

For others, I did a lot. Buying people's lunches who stood in line behind me. This is one thing I do quite regularly. It is simple and easy to do. I've donated to folks who provide free services. To me, I'd rather do this than give to the Red Cross (That's another story)...

Was hoping to write more this past year. That didn't happen. 2018 will be a year to schedule in that writing time. Yes. I am rewriting my two textbooks. That should be simple enough. I hope. But, writing stories is where I'd like to go. To schedule or not to schedule...

I know the past two year's I made sections of what I did and what I hope to achieve in the following year. This post is a little different; more of a reflection. 2017 was not too bad. The Hubby had some good days this year. Kota is coming along. We even had guests in the home and he did not nip anyone! I won some awards (Hunties, Quality Matters, Teaching). All in all, life treated us well...

The first thing I am going to do in 2018 is to pay off my second mortgage. This will leave us with The Hubby's car, and the first mortgage. Retirement is not too far off (three years, eleven months, two weeks - who's counting). My hopes are to have the other two payments paid by then. The car will probably be easy enough...the first mortgage will be the kicker...

Oh well. Thanks for listening to my ramblings.
Happy New Year's folks.
