Based on the title, these two things go hand in hand. When someone says to me "I am warned", I take that as a threat. This threat is then reviewed, and information is sent to Security. They follow up with finding the IP address of the sender, and we go from there. It all depends upon how far the user of the IP wishes to go...
Interesting stuff when you can see exactly where a person on the internet resides. Puts a lot of things in perspective.
With all that said, it is a shame that persons result in "Anonymous" threats. Be proud of who you are and meet with the person you feel is doing something incorrect. This person may have just made a mistake. Maybe they failed to realize there was an error.
For myself, I have spoken to many a virtual soul, and have had the pleasure of learning great things. Designers, scriptors, and texturers have helped me to find my way and make sure I follow "the rules". Many of the these folks have moved on to other virtual environments, leaving me to struggle through Second Life alone...Tripping over my own kindness. I really should have listened to these guys about becoming a rude bitch. Just can't do it though. I believe too much in Love, and Humankindness.
What I am trying to say, is when you have an issue with someone, present the issue in a communicative place. If a person is in the wrong, maybe they did not see it as wrong. Maybe they are following old "information" and failed to look up newer "bylaws". Maybe they have a dying husband in their home (yes. I do), and they just got in a rut, doing what they do as a form of therapy.
It's simple to communicate folks. Try it before you bully, or make threats. You may find a new friend, in a new place. A person you can collaborate with; someone to bounce ideas off of.
Well. Thanks for listening. Have a beautiful day.
